This means keeping the rotational axis of the camera constant while panning. The very best way to accomplish this is to mount your camera on a tripod while shooting the panorama. Overlap reference points. In order to merge a sequence of pictures together, there must be a degree of overlap between each pair of images that can be used as reference points. We recommend you include a 30% overlap (a margin of plus or minus 10% is acceptable) between the current exposure and the previous exposure.
